Hi families!

Congratulations on a successful Player Evaluation! Coach Eric and I look forward to another productive softball season! A few things to note quickly:

• all the players on our team are 2nd year 12U players, however we have a mix of 6th and 7th graders
  • the 7th graders are ineligible to practice and compete with EPFastpitch until the conclusion of their high school softball season
  • these four 7th graders will join us on MAY 20 (they will play their last HS game on FRI MAY19- Night at the Park)
• it's uh... still too cold and there's too much snow on the ground to practice outside. EP Fastpitch is arranging for indoor practice space in the HS Activity Center, HS Dome and CMS gyms through the end of APR until we are allowed to practice on a field. the schedule will be posted into the website soon. email reminders will arrive 48hrs before each event. for the time being, count on:
  • SUN practices starting MAR26
    • 5:00-6:00 pitchers - HS AC. bring your own catcher. you will NOT see this pitcher practice reminder in the schedule. know it and be there
    • 6:00-7:00 team practice, fielding- HS AC
    • 7:00-8:00 team practice, hitting - HS dome
  • FRI practices  starting MAR31
    • 6:00-8:00 team practice, CMS gym
  • Practices are for 6th graders ONLY; 7th graders- do NOT come to EP Fastpitch 12U practices until after May 20. 
• many families are doing Spring Break now, but we need to get together for PAC (Parent Athlete Coach) meeting to go over the season
  • for now, mark off SUN APR02; we'll probably do dinner at Davanni's since it's also Palm Sunday (families will probably have lunch plans)
  • if folks are available this SUN, we could do it this SUN
• mark these dates on your calendar 
  • Tournament 1: MAY 20-21 - St Louis Park Oriole Opener
  • Tournament 2: JUN 2-4 - Cottage Grove Pride in the Park
  • Tournament 3: TBD (June 9-11 or June 16-18)
  • Tournament: JUN 24-25 - MN Softball State Qualifier
  • Tournament: JUL 8-9 - MN Softball State Touranment
  • Tournament: JUL 20-23 - NAFA Northern Nationals
