Eden Prairie Fastpitch planning to participate in another domeball season that will play softball games inside the Braemar Field Dome in Edina. So, Softball doesn't have to end after Fall Ball! Many softball players throughout the metro area continue to train through the offseason with the intent on keeping their current skills sharp, or to improve on skills they need. Our goal is to provide this kind of offseason opportunity for EP Fastpitch 10U and 12U players. We intend to form only one 10U and one 12U domeball team.
EP Fastpitch Offseason Domeball will comprise of:
Practices, at least once-weekly (late OCT - end JAN)
Domeball season, double-header games 10 SATs, NOV - JAN)
1 domeball tournament (Turkey Trot, weekend of Thanksgiving; or Holiday Bash, days between Christmas and New Year's Day)
Player shirt
Upfront Registration Cost: $250
​Final cost NOT to exceed $440, but will vary based on the number of participating players and practice facility rental cost
Just like in the summer and fall seasons:
Registration, team rosters and scheduling will be managed on the epfastpitch.com website.
Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches will be parent volunteers.
We will order shirts for players.
The entire domeball season will account for a lot of offseason skill development :
approx. 58-63 hrs of skill development in practices and pre-game warmups
approx. 25-31 hrs game experience

Domeball rules (same as fastpitch softball except):
55-min "drop-dead" format games
game expires at 55-minutes and ends with the current batter
no finishing the inning; home team does not get "last ups", game is OVER
balls hitting the dome ceiling in
"fair territory" may be caught as outs, otherwise considered foul balls
"foul territory" are foul balls
no cleats allowed
Domeball tournament (one tournament included with team fees; additional tournaments are ala carte)
Turkey Trot
played the weekend of Thanksgiving (FRI/SAT/SUN)
Holiday Bash
played the days betwen Christmas and New Year's
MLK Day
played on MON, Jan 18
3-game guarantee (all 3 games typically played the same day, usually back-to-back-to-back); location & schedule varies
Domeball Registration opens MON, September 28
and closes 11:59pm SUN night, October 11.
