How can I Volunteer?
The success of this league and benefit our daughters receive is based on the support and participation of volunteers. Opportunities are always available. Reach out to Sandy Frey or Steve Gudvangen for more details.
Who is coaching my daughters team?
Coaches are volunteers and often parents of a player on their team. All coaches must attend a required NYSCA certification class and participate in the pre-season coaches clinic provided by the Eden Prairie Fastpitch Association.
Are Individual and Team pictures provided?
Yes. About half way through the season, typically mid-May, individual and team pictures are taken during on a Saturday. This is usually held outdoors at CMS. If the weather is bad, pictures will be held in the gym at CMS.
What happens if it's raining on a day my daughter is scheduled to play?
We are required to call off practices and games when threatening or poor weather is in the area. League administrators make every attempt to provide notification by 4 pm. The city of Eden Prairie will ultimately make the call for field use by 3 pm. Wet fields become a hazzard to players and are difficult to maintain. Coaches/Team managers are notified by the league administrators and typically manage a call list to notify parents. When in doubt, call the league hotline for the current status at 952-906-3896.
What is the end of the season tournament and when is it?
The end of the season tournament hosts K-9 teams where each age group plays a bracketed tournament based on season record. Each age group tournament is followed by a picnic and raffle offering up prizes tailored to each age group.
